Once again our annual winter charity event the “Swim for Shoes” will be taking place on the beach immediately in front of the hotel at 11.00a.m. on Christmas Day and New Years Day.

As you can see from the video opposite, shot and kindly supplied by one of our guests, professional photographer Peter Phelan ABIPP and which shows highlights from last years event, it is all great fun!

All you need to do is turn up with swimwear and a towel and go for a full swim or just a paddle – just as long as part of you gets wet ! Then recover in the bar with mulled wine on Christmas Day and hot chocolate on NewYears Day – generously donated by the Hotel Garbe.

Adults and children are all welcome to take part on the understanding that you do so at your own risk. As this is a charity event all donations gratefully accepted

Come dressed as Santa on Christmas Day – outfits are available to buy in the shops now. We will have a limited stock of Santa outfits and hats for sale on the day. New Years Day - we hope to see you in Fancy Dress – start planning your outfit now!
